Rector - Abdymanapov Sarsengali Abdygalievich

Abdymanapov Sarsengali Abdygalievich was born on the September, 15, 1949 in the village Irsu of the Krasnogorskiy (now Kordayskiy) area of the Zhambyl region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

1967 – graduated from secondary boarding school No.289 of the Otar station, Krasnogor district of the Zhambyl region

1967-1972 – was a student of the specialty "Mathematics", Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov.

1972-1976 – was an assistant and lecturer at the Differential and Integral Equations department of Karaganda State University

1976-1979 – was a graduate student of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Almaty

1980-1986 – was appointed senior lecturer at the Differential and Integral Equations department of Karaganda State University

1982 – defended the dissertation “On the Solution of Certain Problems for Common Differential Equation of Elliptic Type of the Fourth Order in Fractional Spaces” for the degree of the Candidate of Physical and Mathematical sciences in the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Kazakh SSR (Almaty), specialty: 01.01.02 - «Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics»

1986 – received the academic title of the Associate Professor, specialty: Mathematics, by the decision of Higher Degree Commission of the USSR

1990-1992 – Head of Differential and Integral Equations department at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University

1992-1993 – Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University

1993-2000 – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University

1995 – was elected correspondent member of the International Information Academy

1996 – was elected an academician of the International Academy of Ecological Sciences, Human and Nature Safety (Russia)

1997 – was elected correspondent member of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education, St. Petersburg branch

1997 – received and academic title of the Professor of Mathematics by the decision of the Higher Degree Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan

September 29, 1999 – defended the dissertation “Theory and Practice of Improving the University Education” for the Doctor of Pedagogy degree, specialty: 13.00.01 «General Pedagogy» in specialized Dissertation Committee under Abay Kazakh State Pedagogical University (Almaty)

2000 – was elected a full member (academician) of the International Information Academy.

2000 – was elected the Firs Vice-Rector of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as the one who passed the contest held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan

2001 – was elected a full member (academician) of the International Higher Education Academy, St. Petersburg branch

2002-2008 – was elected Executive General Director of the International Geographical Center (Cambridge, UK)

2004–2008 – was elected Rector of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as the one who passed the contest held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan

2004-2008 – Chairman of the Republican Council of HEIs Rectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Republican Educational Council of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan

2005-2006 – was elected Chairman of Social and Humanitarian Sciences Section of the Commission for granting the State prize in the field of science, technology and education under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan
